Youth responsibility in achieving Chinese Dreams.m4a
The Chinese Dream is concerned with building a strong, civilized, and prosperous socialist country, rejuvenating the nation and ensuring the wellbeing of the Chinese people. To make it a reality, the youth should shoulder their responsibilities.
First of all, the youth should strive to have professional competence in respective fields. As a Chemistry major, I understand the importance of acquiring the basic knowledge. Only when I understand the nature of different chemical reactions and their underlying mechanisms can I solve practical problems, like air pollution and climate change.
What’s more, young people must dare to innovate and create. Let me take chemistry for example. The 2022 Nobel prize in chemistry is about “click chemistry” and “bio-orthogonal chemistry”, which allows molecules to join together quickly and predictably inside biological cells, just like a seat belt buckle. But it is still not a proven technology. Now the baton of the times is in our hands. We generation will do all we can to continue cracking this hard nut, contributing Chinese wisdom to the world chemical community.
