For me, the philosophy to life is happiness. Do you know how to spell the word happiness? Quite easy right? But have you notice that there’s no Y in happiness, instead there is an I? That’ s what I’m going to say.
There’s no why in happiness. No reason. Happiness is not something that depends on external factors, such as money, score, success, or other people’s opinions. But there is an I in happiness. Happiness is something that comes from within, from your own attitudes.
I worked in the center of mental health education in our school, and have seen cases where students attempted to commit suicide, just because they didn’t get what they want, like awards, degrees or praise.
But I don't think that’s necessary. You can choose to be grateful for what you have, rather than resentful for what you don’t. You can choose to be optimistic about the future, rather than pessimistic about the past. You can choose to be kind to yourself and others, rather than harsh and judgmental. You can choose to be happy.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that you should ignore or deny your problems or challenges. It means that you should not let them steal your joy or peace.
Remember: there is no why in happiness. It’s an I. The happiness of the human mind is not caused by external conditions. It’s up to your inner heart. Thank you!
